Limewire...Slows computer like hell
Does any of you guys use limewire? I have the pro version, and though the search results and download speed is awesome, it slows my computer ALOT. I'm wondering if any of you guys have this same problem and is there a way to fix it?

That's normal. P2P programs eat a huge amount of CPU power.

Only time I get a slow down is if i burn something and run limewire at the same time... other then that...

i use kazaa revo as a last resort for downloading sometimes. other than that, i never use limewire, have had crap experiences with it so i use the torrent system which is great depending on whats downloading and who's sharing at what speeds...

Ares Lite still works great for me. I use soulseek sometimes, but it has gone downhill lately

bittorrent, since day one ive used this, then bittornado came out which was an improvment, sure DLs go slow, but if you;re not going anywhere (even if you are, leave it Dling, I Do over night) and aren;t in a hurry to get what you want, use it, but lately Ive been getting phenominal speeds off there, Ive DLed at least three dvd rips off there within two days. actually this morning I got a dvd rip of Amercan Psycho, ok flick) and dvd rip of Boon dock saints. bittorrent is great
