I need a Gervineer!

Okay, so. I have this completely shitty video card (GeForce FX5600xt 256MB). It's so shitty I don't even want to talk about it. oOo:

What I do want to talk about is what is a good video card at around $200? I don't want to spend more than that, but I need for my computer to stop fucking locking up every 10 minutes.

kthx

PS - I had these recommended to me...

GeForce 6600 256MB

ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... 54&CatId=0

If I had to choose either of thoose two I'd go with the 6600. I have the 128mb model and it runs like a dream.

6600GT 128MB is the sweet spot for mid-range cards.

Leadtek is on sale for $150 with $20 mail in rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814122206

Miscguy 06-06-2005 06:55 PM

Or go into the color correction settings in the dispaly options like i said and adjust the levels until you rid yourself of the yellow tint.
