You're 733t Rig

So lately I've kinda been in a techie mood, kinda obsessing myself over graphics cards and processors and all that stuff that I really didnt care about before, as I now know that I can actually own some of this stuff if I work during the summer.

But anyways, Im curious to see what you guy's use - I need ideas on what to buy, and whether I should build one myself or buy a prebuilt one. Just post pics, along with the price and specs:

Here's my bad-boy:
Compaq Presario 1010NX

Celeron 2.70Ghz
512 Ram (upgraded from 256)
40GB HD
GeForce FX 5200 (Put in myself)

rock:

Im looking to buy a new one pretty soon, under $1,500, if I can make enough money during the summer.

Mmm not sure really, built the majority of it nearly 2 years ago, back then it was a 2.8 p4 with a radeon 9500 pro. Just upgraded the cpu and the grapics card.

Jeeze...those are incredible.

So is building your own PC generally cheaper than buying a premade one? Think any of you guys could "build me" a PC, under $1,500, and preferably in the 1,200 range?

Sgt>Stackem 06-09-2005 11:21 AM

hey Short, its spring clean that mess up
Blitz":6c7ec]teet rig? wtf is that[/quote:6c7ec]

1. 733t
Slang for "leet", which is a shortened version of elite.

Using the 7 as an l, the 3's as e's and the t is used normally.

Commonly used in online gaming.

Usage may apply broadly, as both a noun and as an adjective.

That guy made an 733t shot. (adj)

His gameplay has reached 733t status. (n)

Sorry bud, but it's commonly spelled 1337, 1=L and 7=T. The way you spelled it it looks like TEET. Go back to internet slang 101.

Doctor Duffy 06-09-2005 12:12 PM

Yah, alright.

Hey, do any of you guy's know if theres all too big a difference between the nVidia 6600's and 6800's?
