XL if i recall has the 16 pipelines, while the pro only has 12. Its been a while since i really read about them though. I am certain the Xl is better however.

True dat

Pro has 12 Pipelines, XL has 16. Memory speed is diff too, 450 Mhz on the pro, 490 on the XL.

Get the XL, all the cool kids are doin' it.

I have an x800 Pro, couldn't be more satisfied with it, but the XL is a better card (it also uses the same core that the x850 series does).
