In the picture, does the 6 and 8 mean anything in the game, or is it just for show?

what gun is that ? i hope the dots are used for measuring distance

Not a damn thing.

Edit: It's the M-95.

IRL I believe they would be used to adjust for range. 600m, 800m, etc. I don't think BF2 models anything like that so it's just for show.
