Great...um...and why would we want this over 1.0, again?
|
what version do most people play?
|
Too early to tell. There's really no reason to update except for the small issue of the server browser. Other than that, it has nothing to offer. All 1.01 ever brought me was stats not recording.

who cares about the in-game server browser when you can use ASE to connect. |
Pretty much. Join now works with xfire as well. I've been back at 1.0 for awhile and the browser hasn't given me any trouble.
One undocumented change I did notice with 1.01 was the splash damage on the MI-28 gun was lowered. |
so would you recommend going reinstalling and going back to 1.0?
|
Im using 1.2 at the moment, no problems so far.

Should I just stay patchless, my browser isn't really messing up much.
I'll await the next one, which they'll prolly take ages over..... |

anyone getting PB errors? jus manually update the thing, look here on how to do it: http://forums.totalbf2.com/showthread.php?t=13579 gg on spellings in that post. I decided on trying the new patch coz the unpatched server list was pretty small, seems ok so far, tho most servers have huge pings.
p.s - the Sir community (guys who do stunt clips for bf2) are having a 64 player knife battle or something, winner stays on or something, goes through rounds. check their site for details stupid: happy: |
