Black & White 2 ............. 7th October
Ok well I've personally been getting very excited about Black & White 2 and after reading all the previews, which have all been amazing, I thought I should, like, make a topic about it....I've also been checking out the videos released thus far and as the original was one of my favourite games of all time then it's sequel is all set to become the game it was originally meant to be.
No heavy micro managment if needed and "The Creature has also been enhanced in every way, in particular creature AI, so much so, that it will appear in the 2006 edition of Guinness World Records as the most Complex Character in a Computer Game." Heres the offical trailer, looks class, 26mb HERE[/url:7f01a] Today I saw the latest video of a creature fight which can be downloaded HERE[/url:7f01a] [ 16.9mb ] if these links fail to work or go slowly then go HERE.[/url:7f01a] Maybe I should start working for Lionhead eh? You guys buying this? I'm thinking of pre-ordering or jus getting it when its out in 3 weeks time as its ready and about to go Gold (uk price £29.99 standard version or £34.99 collectors edition with extras, including Tiger) If you do buy it, which creature would you choose first? Wolf, Ape, Lion or Cow? happy: * OS - Windows 2000/XP * Processor - Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent 1.6 GHz * Memory - 512MB RAM * Hard Drive - 3.5GB * DVD-ROM - 8 SPEED (PC CD-ROM version also available in USA) * Video Card - 64MB with 1.1 Pixel Shader* * Sound Card - DirectX 9.0c compatible * DirectX - Version 9.0c * Input - Keyboard, mouse 0o0o big images.[/url:7f01a] |

Black and White was cool for awhile.

I just love to mess around in B&W, like picking up villagers and throwing them into the sea, down mountains, in forests, into a pack of wolves, lolz. The tiny details in it are amazing, you can go fishing, water crops, throw boulders at cities, etc.....
http://www.totalvideogames.com/articles ... 0_10_0.htm Will you be an evil or benevolent deity? That's the choice you must make upon returning to a warring land in Black & White 2. Like its wildly successful predecessor, Black & White, the sequel is all about moral choices. The land, however, has transformed itself. The inhabitants of this breathtaking 3D world have lost their innocence and developed new weapons and technology. As you enter this warring world, will you make tribes coexist peacefully; encouraging villages and towns to grow into sprawling metropolises, or prompt them to inflict their will upon others by, creating and commanding large armies that seek to dominate and conquer? Creatures in the game have grown too. They can learn strategies, master new abilities and skills, lead armies into battle and be your ultimate unit. Black & White 2 includes other new elements, such as improved graphics and miracle effects such as rivers of fire and earthquakes that yield massive destruction. Every choice you make will have an impact. Each action and inactions prompts obvious changes to buildings, flora and fauna, all morphing to reflect your personality. # Wage massive wars, sieges and battles or use your skill and power to keep the peace. # Discover and use new Epic Miracles, including the ground-ripping Earthquake and volcanoes, which cause rivers of lava. # Choose and customize the Creature that's right for you from a selection, including old favorites such as the Ape, Cow, and Lion. # Research and create new forms of weaponry, from swords to bows to siege machines. # Build and design unique defensive gates and walls. # Control and marshal huge and varied armies. # Create and control settlements that include housing, farming, and many other buildings like fountains and lush gardens (if you're Good) or stocks and guillotines (if you're Evil). # Weather systems such as rain, snow, mists, and fog. # Journey through 11 lands homing each of the five tribes. |
Worth my time to bake a cupcake i suppose.

can't wait for this game. i put many many hours in to the first one rock:
|
First game was gimmicky as fuck, no icons in it just because his previous game had a shit load of them. 9 times outta 10 your creature just went about flinging people and\or its own shit. oOo:
Molyneaux's games always seem to be hinged on some massive gimmick that ultimately makes or breaks the game, theyre also famous for missing out on a fuckload of features that he blabs about during the creation of the game like theyre guaranted to be in, then when it comes out people are on the warpath because this or that is missing. |
Have you watched both videos? admit it, you want this game.
I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy the little stories and messing around in the 1st one, like the paedophile in the 1st village who lured kids into his cave with his whistle biggrin: Or the sailors who needed help but I'd jus fling them into the sea, was fantastic. If you play it properly and explore it well enough it was amazin, so many hidden things to find. |
I'll probably end up getting it, i got the first one. Im near sure the first one was on gamespys "most overrated games" list about ayear ago or so. Just so much hype for the game, reviewers included got so caught up in it that it didn't really get any negative press till years later.
