Ordered a MX1000
Well after spilling beer on my trusty trackball mouse, one of its buttons has decided to give up, so i ordered a Logitech MX1000 (with the keyboard combo)
Do I need a mousepad or something or will it work fine on my desk? How much of a difference will it make compared to a normal optical mouse? |
Lasers are a lot more picky than optical mice when it comes to tracking, you it'll work a lot better with a mousepad.

I'd take an Icemat or a Steelpad, or an eXactMat over that POS. |
