Amp and Computer

Just a quick question for those who might know. I want to hook my guitar amp to my computer just so I can record or just play some stuff on my computer. On my amp it does have 2 lines that are line out, one is line out tape player such as left right audio and then just a line out. Is there a way I can hook a cable up to my computer sound card so I can record?

I think you can plug in to your mic spot.

Yep, I used to do it all the time like that. Just buy an adapter than makes the 1/4" guitar cord reduce to a 1/8" jack.

I think if you want to start recording you might want to get yourself a top notch sound card and then get a good audio mixing program, like pro tools or mixcraft.
