CPU usage?

Alright when i hit ctrl alt dlt. And i click on the performance tab, why in the fuck is my CPU usage at 100% when i have nothing really running? I mean my performance inst slow, but it says 100% cpu usage well like 85%-100% wtf is up

TonyMontana 01-05-2006 10:51 PM

click on the processes tab and take a screenshot of what processes are hogging up the CPU usage

Milla 01-06-2006 12:00 AM

I mean nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing big enough to be taking up 100% CPU usage

WTF explorer.exe is fucking using up my cpu usage for some reason. Its just fluxuating (cant spell nigs) all over the place

Unknown_Sniper 01-06-2006 12:22 AM

something is leeching cpu usage.. Run some virus and spyware scans.

reboot

mr.miyagi 01-06-2006 06:54 AM

ah I remember when mine did exactly the same thing, was weird so I ran MSCONFIG and disabled ALL startup items/progs and it was running fine again.

Obviously just keep enabling the odd program in the startup list and see which one is causing the CPU to have hard sex. You just have to go through your list and troubleshoot but it should solve the problem freak:

it happens on my mums pc, but it has never affected her pc's performance. Wouldnt worry about it to be honest. As long as your pc isnt running slower than normal.
