Ok, I reinstalled Xp yesterday and everything was working fine but now whenever I try and play a video in wmp or winamp my computer freezes, but I can play music files fine, wtf is going on?

I'm having a problem with my videos being distorted and discolored. Did you reformat or just reintsall?

I formatted and reinstalled.

Same, no idea whats wrong, you might be missing a plug in? I think thats what my problem is, but i have no idea what plug in i am missing. Explain what happens when you open WMP.

Everything is fine, I can play music, thats fine but the second I open a video it locks up and I have to reboot.

Art got Milla'd. I suggest we ban Milla until he finds the source for his computers suckage, That way we'll all be safe. It must be spreading through GF1.

yuppers, thats the first thing I did after reinstalling.

Is Video acceleration on? (WMP) Tools>Options>Performance

ive actually noticed this problem on a few other forums I am visiting.
