Surround Sound - Rear speakers won't put out

I have these Dell speakers, I'm not sure what happened, I didn't even realize the rear speakers aren't putting out any sound. I got a subwoofer of course, um.. everything seems to be plugged in and I checked the settings, everything looks ok. Any ideas? eek: cry:

I already looked on google.. why do you think I came here. rolleyes:

I tried installing/upgrading audio drivers - which didn't work.

When I turn up the volume, the really faint hissing sound comes from the rear speakers. cuss:

Did they ever work? Do you have a surround sound (4.1/5.1 etc..) sound card or is the "surround" taken from a stereo source? If you have a 4.1/5.1 ect card, try switching around the rca's to see if the problem moves to other speakers, then you know its in the processing of the sound, not the speakers or amp. Just do your basic troubleshooting to isolate the problem... pretty basic stuff

I had this problem once before. I ended up uninstalling reinstalling my shit. If its creative make sure you are using 4.1 (or 5.1 whatever you have) and not vice versa other wise they will not work. Also make sure you have it set to 4 speakers. not 2
