Busted my iPod nano..

Alright, so one of my younger siblings completely busted my iPod Nano's LCD (was in my jacket pocket, they knocked it down and jumped on it or some crap like that)... Apparently my $80 Apple "Extended Warrenty" doesn't cover "accidents"... seriously wtf what does it cover then? This guy I know says he throws his around and shit and gets a new one.

So I went back to where I bought it (London Drugs), and they said that to get the LCD replaced by apple - well that I'd be better off buying a new one.

So now I'm trying to find some cheap place to buy an LCD and get it replaced (I'd replace it myself if I had to - supposedly its really simple) - so do any of you guys know of any cheapish reliable places I could get this done?

(Luckily I bought the ipod off a friend for $100 CDN, so I'll go all out if I really have to)..

you can just buy a broken ipod off of ebay which lcd isn't broken, cuz everything else you can just change switch them over.

speaking of Ipod problems, my Ipod Mini (first generation) is pure shit. The battery promises a mere 8 hours of playback (after charging for 4 hours by the way), yet when I connect to my car, the thing plays for a good 3 hours before dying. When I play it normally with headphones, i get probably 5-6 hours of playback, but i want to listen to it in my car. Do you think I'll be able to return it for a better Ipod (despite having no more warranty) or will they tell me to go away?

good luck lol, first of all you are probably way out of your return policy second you dont even have the warranty and third the mini's are discontinued so they def wouldnt want that. The only chance of a exchange would be if you spend alot more on a diff mp3 including warranty

lol $115 for repair of LCD and new nanos are $149,$199,$299

I know when i got my first ipod back a few years ago, a year after I had it i took it in complaining of a battery problem, and got a new one, and i got an upgraded one cuz they didnt make the 3rd gen ones anymore. and i got 40gig instead of 30. then a few months ago i took that one in (i had the same type of warrenty) and complained about the same thing and i got one of the new 60gig video ones for free. biggrin:
