the problem with video game movies is they stray too far from the source material. The game fans dont want to see it, and a mainstream audience doesnt.

good point, how do you think directors get thier heads up thier asses like that such that they completely ruin the original game plot that made it so popular in the first place and fill it in with substance-less bullshit?

i agree, i would definately be able to make a sweet ass RE movie with less than half the budget..

in fact, i bet that if a director made a near-verbatim film recreation of a classic or popular game, it would win a ton of awards.......i wanna see Hideo Kojima produce, write, and direct MGS the movie, hell more than half the game is already a movie
