NEED HELP!!!!! kthx

Has anyone ever heard of Germaine de Stael? More specifically she is some woman who wrote an essay on the French revolution back in the 18th century. 1791 to be exact. This essay is called the superiority of moderation over extremism. Has anyone read this at all? I have to give an oral report about it tomorrow and I do not understand ANYTHING about it. I searched for it online and can't find jack shit. I can only find shit about the jacobins (if you've read it you know what I'm talking about). If someone can give me a paragraph or two about what it is about and shit, I'll give you karma for life.

I've heard of Germaine de Stael, briefly, never read that novel though. Only book I've read from the french revolution was Rousseau's Social Contract - Man is born free; and everywhere he is in chains.
cool:

Is it short or long? From what I just looked up Stael had similar beliefs as Rousseau..sorry I can't help, I would have liked to help. Maybe you should have gone or listened in class..or read the assigned work?

gtboys34 04-30-2006 10:39 PM

couldn't you just talk about the french revolution and just make up some other stuff she may have done?

Himmler 04-30-2006 10:43 PM

i have to explain specific parts of this essay. i have been paying attention in class, i have an A so far. I have read the assigment as this is the only one I have had trouble with it. its only 3 pages but the print is pretty small so i cant type it, it would take me like an hour or two. thanks for the help anyway
