new 2142 mode "destroy the titan" (vid inside)

Basically it looks like you and your band of cronies have to storm a flying ship which can also launch vehicles to attack you, get to the central core and destroy the power generator to win.

And why is it the more i see of this game he more it looks like a cheap slapped together rip off of quake wars? Even the flying vehicles look the same ffs. oOo: annoy:

And for more shits and giggles, ive read that people playing 2142 at e3 have noticed the crosshair bug that identifies friendlys as enemies is still present. oOo: oOo: oOo: oOo:

the sad thing is, you know you're gonna end up buying the game despite how much you say you hate it...

Bottomline is this ea need to fucking FIX battlefield 2 and focus their attention on it rather than making expansions, and booster packs and now a new fucking game. if you dont agree with that then i feel sorry for you.

If 2142 comes out and is relatively bug free then it might be worth getting, however if tis the same old shit then i wont waste my money.

I guess I just don't have as many problems with BF2 as you do...They'll make tons of money off of 2142, just like they did with BF2.

Yes you mysteriously seem to have no issues with bugs that plague everyone except you it seems. Rockets passing through vehicles instead of exploding on them, shitty laggy browser, crosshair friendly\enemy bug, drawdistance bug, the eurofighter in euro forces constantly pulls to the right instead of flying straight. And thats just scratching the surface. Add to that ea's retarded rebalancing of the weapons which changes the gameplay a lot, they made the blackhawk a worthless pile of shit, the miniguns on it are a joke, the helo's have been nerfed a shitload and yet through all of this the cluster bombers remain dominant on any map theyre on.

oOo: oOo: oOo:

nope, i really don't have any of those problems. I've had the friendly crosshair bug happen a few times, but not anytime recently, and not enough to generate a hatred for the game...

and the thousands and thousands of people who still play the game seem to suggest that the game is indeed worth playing.

geRV 05-11-2006 11:43 AM

Funny thing is i don't "hate" the game, but the fact of the matter is the game is buggy and ea don;t seem to bother patching the issues that count the most.

c312 05-11-2006 11:46 AM

why would they? players have already shown that they still love the game because either a) the game is so good in the first place that the little bugs don't bother them enough to stop playing OR b) that the problems aren't as widely experienced as some people beleive.

Ea have a bad reputation for patches, look how quick support was dropped for allied assault and back when it was released that was ea's cash cow. Bf1942 has a patch issued for it before it was even released. When 2142 comes out you will see bf2 getting less attention than its getting in regard to patches, not that the current oens do much but mess with game balance anyway.

And it just shows the amount of competance in ea\dice if a bug from bf2 like the red xhair bug has shown up in their new friggin game.
