Flash Help!
I realise this should be in tech' but its rarely visited and i'm running out of time!
Basically my problem is: I need to create a basic Flash interface to showcase 3 of my videos for college. People will walk in and view my small animation(which is done already). Click on it and it'll go straight to my 3 videos. I just need to design a nice looking but simple Flash interface that will, once you click an image or something, will take you to one of my videos and have the 'play / stop / return to main menu' options underneath. There doesn't have to be any particular theme, just a nice looking interface that works and plays my 3 videos :-/ I have until Monday morning to do this and would be very grateful if any of you guys know of any tips or good tutorial sites with which to do this! loney: |
If i was you I wouldnt bother with Flash. try using swish it's a lot easier to use and some good effects also very beginner freindly.
The demo allows you to save if i remeber right also can get it from "other means" it also saves as a flash file http://www.swishzone.com/ |
I have to use Flash for my Interface on this project, soz!
Anyone got their own online Flash portfolio of stuff? |
Just download the FLASH trial, it has preset templates that will let you set up what you want - or you can just design the interface in PHOTOSHOP and import your creation into FLASH (since they are now owned by the same people - like Peanut Butter and Jelly).
All you really need are three buttons (each on controlling each movie playing). Once each video finishes youll tell flash to pop right back to the interface. Your biggest problem is going to be ActionScripting what you want to happen, but their are tutorials out there that cover Basic ActionScripting and what you want to do - so you dont have to get into the more advanced stuff. It however - is easier than it looks - just spend a day reading about ActionScripting and youll be fine. |
