i knew a little bit about scientology, but not much...so i checked out the website and i really felt like i had a link with what they were saying, i am going to join........siiike, actually i saw this ytmnd http://theunfunnytruth.ytmnd.com/ about scientology, and did some more research

the names they drop are real according to mr. googel

i also went to their website, http://www.scientology.org they have all these books and courses and shit, and they say that if you dont use them, youre being ignorant to the most exciting new discoveries of the human being or some shit

what do you guys make of this? i think its scary...

Apparently he was using sarcasm, but I was responding to what I thought was TGB accusing the YTMND members of going on a smear campaign agaisnt Scientology. My response to that was in defense of the YTMND members, asking what they would gain from a smear campaign.

But again, apparently he was being sarcastic.

That depends.
I'd agree with you about people who take religion too seriously, but I know a bunch of people who sufficiently fit it into their lives without it overshadowing their true nature. Including people in my immediate and extended family.
