I just noticed something..

Do you even get the Medal of Honor? I just replayed on Hard, expecting one, and all I got was some dinky cross.

Johnj 08-17-2006 12:25 PM

It's against the law to pretend to have a 'Medal of Honor'. Now go play it on insane.

Doctor Duffy 08-17-2006 11:19 PM

It's against the law?

Johnj 08-17-2006 11:56 PM

It is illegal to sell, wear, or manufacture any decorations or medals authorized by Congress for the armed forces of the United States.

In General. - Whoever knowingly wears, manufactures, or sells any decoration or medal authorized by Congress for the armed forces of the United States, or any of the service medals or badges awarded to the members of such forces, or the ribbon, button, or rosette of any such badge, decoration or medal, or any colorable imitation thereof, except when authorized under regulations made pursuant to law, shall be fined under this title (18 United State Code) or imprisoned not more than six months or both.

Title 18 United States Code. Sec. 1001, entitled "Statements or entries
generally," June 25, 1948, ch. 45, 62 Stat. 749.

lol, wow... but that doesnt count for virtual versions, does it?

Johnj 08-18-2006 12:16 AM

Do I look like a frackin lawyer? I never ever thought about myself being awarded the MOH for playing through some game, I guess that the 50 billion other people that played the game didn't think of it either.

First you start telling me why it violates the law, and then you go and tell me you know nothing about it? Jesus

Johnj 08-18-2006 11:52 AM

[quote="Doctor Duffy":eea45]lol, wow... but that doesnt count for virtual versions, does it?[/quote:eea45]

Here your asking me to interpret the law, all I can do is know what the law says.
Then I state that I've never heard anybody ask about a virtual MOH, in five years of playing.

I'VE HEARD ENOUGH FROM YOU, MR JOHN J

[DAS REICH] Blitz 08-27-2006 05:56 PM

If that was the case, then why would the game be allowed to be sold if its name is Medal of Honor, then again thers a clear diff. but W/E DEWDS

Johnj 08-27-2006 08:48 PM

I see that Blitz's comprehension is right up there with Duffys. Reread the post with the law in it.
