Special Comment for the Anniversary of 9/11
|
I can understand how millions of Americans are still mourning loved ones who died 5 years ago, but I find it hard for me to continue to watch ceremony after ceremony every single year and see all the channels replaying their coverage when alot more people in other places have died as a result of 9/11. Bush's speeches are, in my opinion, meaningless, and just a continuation of his same bullshit excuses for every shitty agenda he's pushed since then. I feel bad for turning this into something political, but I think this govt has degraded the cause and the memory of everyone who died.

i actually agree with some of his points. I do find it bullshit that nothing is built in the spot. The freakin Empire State Building was built in less than a year. So why hasn't something been built within 5? (Yeah, it took a while to actually have the whole site "cleaned" but still)
|
I wanted them to rebuild the towers exactly the way there were before because thats the kind of people we are. It looks like we're being pussies by builing something else and giving it a ghey ass name like the freedome towers.
and no, lol, i didnt watch the video, im still at work biggrin: but i can imagine alot of people feel the same way. |
It almost feels as though nothing has replaced the towers because they're still busy exploiting the memory of 9/11....As if when the towers are replaced with whatever, that people will see it as the conclusion, or the final chapter to the war on terror, and that the public would be less inclined to fully support anymore conflict in the name of 9/11....
Either that or they're just lazy, lol. |

So i can understand why there would be a lot of time building the thing. Think about it...they have to plan every single room of the place. BUT they should have been farther along in construction. |
I say rebuild the twin towers as they were..none of this "freedom tower" pretentious bullshit annoy:

Yeah I agree (Although doesn't really matter seeing as I'm not a yank happy: ), I think it would be more of a statement to the terrorists if you just rebuilt them as they were. A statement that life has gone on despite the attacks, something that doesn't beg for remembrance. ...Bring that beautiful NYC skyline back to the way it was. |
