civil war letters
 

my grandma and I were looking through some old stuff at her house, and found some copies of letters written by who we believe to be my great-great-granddad during the civil war. he's on my mom's side, and further down the line, i didn't even know we had Lees in the family. we havn't yet confirmed his service in the war, but by the looks of it, he was in the 24th North Carolina Regiment, possibly company E. here are the letters (sorry for the size, it makes it easier to read):
