If you find yourself frequently locking up during play, weapons changing/firing/dropping randomly etc etc, then do this to stop it.

Once it starts to occur press TAB (or whatever key you have assigned to scoreboard).

It should cancel it imediately and you can carry on playing.

I've stated this 2 times on posts regarding this bug, but wanted to post it on a whole new topic as I seem to be the only person on this board who knows this.

So, if you experience weird 'lag' that messes with your weapons and controls press TAB to cancel it.

Hope this helps until 2015 fix it.

Bump.. Want as many people as possible to see this.

One thing I've noticed about this bug is that it seems to get worse with explosions. For example, if it is happening and I hear a rocket explosion, at the same time I find myself searching the sky for butterflies. I really notice this on Omaha, where you can hear the booms from far away. Can't just be coincidence since it is so consistent.....

Maybe, but it's not like explosions are rare in this game.

It's linked to the scoreboard. So perhaps if in a particular circumstance someone is killed by an explosive weapon then this bug may happen, only to be reset when the user updates the scores?

I don't know the reason for it, and won't pretend to know it, either.

All I know is how to stop it. I find myself telling everyone on the server every time I play and it happens. Just trying to spread the 'fix'.

I dunno, d00d. I'm almost certian the 1.1 patch fixes this problem. I haven't had that problem since I updated when it wuz released. But still, good to know tab stops it!

V1.1 doesn't fix it. I have V1.1 and it happened to me last night (along with the rest of the server).

Good tip man! That is really gonna make me a bit less stressed out when that stuff happens. Hate it when it throws a nade beside u and u get -1.

This bug happens to me at least twice per 2-hour gaming session. Also, last night I got into a situation where I could not change from my pistol to my mg. Hmmm...maybe the game code caused me to drop my main weapon without noticing....

Hannover, have you had the opportunity to try the tab key when it happens, yet?

I just want to make sure it works for everyone, otherwise I'll probably get accused of cheating. That's why I always tell everyone how to stop it, 'cos if I'm the only bloke running about killing while everyone else is locked up then it'd look pretty dodgy (not to mention that it gives me no satisfaction to kill players in this way).

Anyone who uses this and finds it works, could you please post here, I'd appreciate it.

It has failed on maybe one or two occasions for me, by the way. I had to hold the TAB key down for a second or two before it worked. But for the most part it frees you up imediately.
