I'm running ver 1.1 on a P3 933 with 128meg of memory and a Voodoo 5500 card. In single player the game rocks at 800x600 and medium detail. In multi I have it at 640 and low detail with shadows turned off and its not very smooth. I have a dsl connection, but I don't know what I should adjust to make it smooth. Castle Wolf is really fast on my machine. Also, after about 10min in multi, I start to lose control of my player. I move with out touching the keys and shoot without hitting the mouse. I move a few steps and then move back again. Please help. . . any ideas?

sorry to tell u...but i don't think DSL will do...
my friends all have DSLs, however, it's so slow that when u play MP it lags like ur "moonwalking."
my P3's only 550...same RAM & vedio card...the graphic sux!
after i put it on my P4 with the same vedio..but with 248RAM...the graphic got so much better!
got back to ur question...T1+ should be the best connection speed 4 this game...

I have DSL and average a ping of 60-100 on most servers. Maybe if you stoped playing on servers located in Europe your ping would go down. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/wink.gif

When you pick a server to play on, make sure the ping is low (relatively 0 - 150) Anything over that can cause disruptive lag.

If there are other players in the game with over 300 ping, they could be causing the problem as well.

As for the "moonwalking" and shooting & switching weapons when you don't even move, it's a game glitch. If it happens, press and hold tab until the score comes up, it should stop then.

Good tips. . . thanks alot. I was trying to figure out if I should go for higher or lower ping games and I couldn't find out which.
If I upgrade, should I change the video card or the MB and Chip?
For the new Geoforce cards its about the same as a new MB/Chip upgrade.
