- What kind of 3D software do you use?
- Will I be able to create objects in LightWave or Max and then import them into the game, or do I have to use your special tool set? - I would have appreciated if you can recommend some literature about how to make or edit 3D games. I am not talking about programming. It’s more like how many polygons? How large can a texture file be? Etc. |
* Our artists use 3DSMax.
* If we get to release our tools, which we all want. I think EA wants this as well, but I'm not making any promises since I'm not in control of this one. * How many polys and how big textures can be depends on the game, and even on what type of polys they are. Maximum texture size depends on the card, but textures always have to be a power of 2 in each direction (eg, 256 x 512). |
