I know sometimes I create long posts but it would work better if you made a post for 1 or 2 of your ideas. Maybe it's just me but your post looked kinda of boring so I didn't give the time to look over it.

Just a few things i was wondering.
After playing day of defeat onlne a few things got me thinking about allied assault online. 1. What way will the weapons work? Will you have classes aS in day of defeat that are assigned a single weapon. Or will you start as a guy with a garand (or mauser depending on the team) and find weapons about the map? 2. Whenif you pick up a different weapon can u be an ally and pick up german weapons or will it be limited to the team you are on? 3. If it is a method where you pick up weapons, say for example you pick up a bar or a bazooka. Since these are heavier than the garand will it affect your running speed? 4. Will snipers rule multuiplayer? Anyone that plays day of defeat knows that on omaha the snipers normally rule the map. In medal of honour will the sniper be limited in numbers to 1 per team, or assuming the weapons pick up system i mentioned is in game will anyone be able to find a springfield and use it? 5. If as i said before u can pick up weapons how many weapons will we be able to have simaltaniously or will the weapon we pick up make your current weapon drop. In other words 1 main weapon at any time in multiplayer? I hope any of you 2015 guys can answer at least some of these as i dont think anyones asked these before http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif [This message has been edited by Gerard (edited July 18, 2001).] |
Dont want to make it into 2 posts id rather have the points addressed in the same thread if at all possible. If u take the time to look over it theres some good questions there.

I read it Gerard, but as you may of guessed I have no idea what the answers are.

Gerard it's not called Medal of Honour.

What exactly was the point of saying its not called medal of honour??

I posted this at AlliedAssault.NET Forums...
I would like Team Combat with STRONG emphasis on Team Work. Heavy penalties for straying away from your team. Scores are based on Team objectives completed, not on individual merit. Everybody relies on each other for protection. When you join a multiplayer game I'm hoping there would be different squads within each team [Allies, Axis] say have 3 squads on each team and have 8 players in each squad. When you choose to play which side you have the choice of which squad you wish to join and which loadout you would prefer. And theres limits. You have the Commanding Officer: Thompson SMG, .45 handgun, a few grenades binoculars and map, Heavy Weapon: BAR, .45 handgun, few grenades, Sniper: Springfield .03', .45 handgun, 2 different powered scopes, Medic: treats wounds, (maybe have a choice of what weapons, as long as it's not a heavy weapon or sniper rifle for playability reasons) Then 4 men with M1 Garands or M1 Carbines with .45's and a few grenades each. What you become is whats left open in the squad. Thats just what came to mind, sure it could do with some work, but that sort of way seems pretty reasonable and well balanced for Allies anyway http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif I couldnt be bothered typing another whole lot out for the Germans, but basically the same for them...... I'll work on this and get back to ya's with a complete setup thats as balanced and fair as possible regardless of historical fact (dont flame me Waffen and Burgen http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif) ------------------ http://www.usmedals.com/prodpix/p295.jpg Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to War and my fingers to fight. |
