Tribes 2
 

Ok call me a little behind the times... ok alot. but i was just looking at tribes 2 cause someone said it was kinda like BF1942 only in the future. Ie you get to drive vehicles and fly and such.

I was just wondering how some of you would discribe it. Most of the screen shots i saw went FPS they were behind or off to the side.

It also says it can do up to 60+ players on a server. My question is how likly am i to find a server that full?

Basically im looking for a few reviews from you guys, the players of Tribes 2. Not those damn magazines.

The Torque Engine (used to make Tribes 2) has been marketed for a bit now and they are already plenty of full games in developement (many free) using it. Thats why I will never get it.

The second is a ww2 game much like bf1942 except actually realistic.
But you wont find any nice screenshots because Clocks (the leader) doesn't like to update the site much :(

That TA game has some of the best weapons models i've ever seen. THough im really just looking for a yes or a no on tribes 2. I doubt that those free games will have as large a following as tribes 2. Im leaving to do a few things at noon PST, as of righ tnow im undecided wether or not to stop by EB and grab a copy.

Starsiege: Tribes is and always will be my favourite game ever for PC because it got me into PC gaming in general, Warcraft 3/Starcraft is #2 anyway

Tribes 2 is cool, I still like Tribes 1 better and on Gamespy they still had the same # of people playing it online

I swear it is the greatest mod of all time... well except for CS, but nevertheless it is soo friggin great. I make houses, and my friend who's one step ahead of me in it makes starships. Good investment.

it CAN support 60+ players, but the whole week i played it before i went back to tribes 1 i never saw more than 32. i never got into t2, i just didn't like the feel.

flying scouts is easy, i love pissing people off by flying nap of the earth in rollercoaster, coming in and flying through the flag taking the gens out on the way, then dodging like mad as they try to chain me.
