question about the release of the full sdk

why? why didnt they release it so far? is there a reason?
I heard a few mods transferd to another game only because EA did not relese the full sdk..... hake:

yeah, too bad it wasnt released but can you imagine the full-scale hacks that could be made with the resources provided by a full SDK?!!! im almost thankful it hasnt been released yet. maybe EA had this in mind after seeing the atrocity that CS is.

it wasn't released because they knew they could make money off it by bundling it with an expansion pack at a later date

Yes I agree also. And I'm really getting sick of people complaining about it. Give it up. Go make a whole new game yourselves. Then when your making money off it lets ask eachother why you won't release your "SDK".

i always thought it was cos ppl would have made a TC or full mod by now which would have dented the profits of s Exp Pack.

Look around at all the mappers who have joined TCs imagine those guys with full creativity ??
Would you buy an Exp pack for a few maps and new weapons when these guys would have a hell of a lot more available by now???

Scorpios tanks
Dogmeats map fixes
Crow kings Server control
CZ zombies server control
Fubahs and Mpowells everything
King MArzos maps
What would those guys do with a full SDk at there disposal

Oh and about the Hacks you seriously think EA will give us full source ..>HAHAHAHAHHAHAH not a chance in hell.
Only way we getting that is if they have every intention of dumping it and moving onto a new engine for the rest of the franchise.

I was thinking that our modding now(skins, text, etc.) are actually illegal since we did not have to permission from EA to modify the game. Can you imagine the legal stuff involved with the release of the SDK.
