Interesting post by a programmer of the update

Hope this isn't frowned upon but I figured you guys would be interested in this post at PMOH.

It's by a guy who says he's working on the expansion pack.

Thanks for the heads up. I would suggest everyone go over and let them know what your thinking.

Remember, be polite and right to the point. Try and not follow the first reply in that thread.

Hmmm...seems like there's a lot for problems than I've encountered. He seems like he's serious. But, is he allowed to do that? Is it just like a mod that you download, or he is going to be selling it like an actual expansion set?

rudedog 09-09-2002 01:08 PM

I took it as he was part of the exp coming out from EA.

nomar 09-09-2002 01:20 PM

Yeah ZR|Gen_JP I said "hope this isn't frowned upon" because I linked to another forum from our forum.

It sounds legit - that he is one of the developers for the upcoming expansion pack. I would think they would have asked this question a long time ago though.

god if he isn't legit, He has some problems, but I have faith that he is serious, will Are suggestions be considered fully, well... EA generally has a history of not listening very well, But "Always Look On the Bright Side OF life!"

No offense, but I don't trust anyone on the net when they say they are someone special. Obviously he gets no benefit out of that post, but if he really is working on MOH:SH, hey good for him.

Well, I'm not frowning upon it, I just don't know if it's legit. I hope it is legit, because if there's an expansion, that'll be great. I'd go out and buy it as soon as I got enough. (Probably $40 or $50)

Oldguy 09-09-2002 03:56 PM

I paid less than $50 for the original game , I was hoping the exp. would only be $25 or $30 . Oh well , I'll probably pay whatever they ask for it , I'm a sucker for MOH. biggrin:

Hopefully, they also listen to that part about the shotgun being a lil out of sync (too powerful).

Course, in a way they messed up the SMG as well, but in the other direction. A Thompson Sub would cut you in half. I still remember my visit to the FBI in 8th grade and they did a demo of a number of weapons, and when they fired the tommy gun.. man I felt like the bullets were going in me. Then they would bring back the target to show us.. and it was completly destroyed by it.

They also need to listen about the netcode, it does need some beefing up.

I like this game a lot, I just wish someone other than EA had made it. They are not the greatest ever of listening to anyone. Their track record with patches is also not the best. But, here's hoping.

:)
