Theoretically it shouldn't slow you down. From my observations it's neither a resource hog nor a bandwidth hog. I have run into the annoying problem that it keeps minimizing my game when running it...

I get quite frustrated being wasted by the STG....

I get quite frustrated being wasted by the STG. In close quarters it rocks over the BAR and seems to have a slight edge over the Thompson. For long range give me the BAR anyday.

I can't complain...

I don't hear you commenting on any of the "walk thru's" for various maps and such. What's the difference except for the fact they tent to illustrate whereas I do it in 3D with motion and sound?

I'm not sure, and I never bothered to try as I don't have the bandwidth for it but the linux server might support it. It has one command (at least) that the windows version doesnt support....

Personally I'd find it MUCH more realistic if maps such as the hunt dragged on for 1/2 an hour or more. Some days soldiers gain kilometers, other days only inches.
