There are tons of freeware or shareware graphics programs out there that are good. Try looking on download.com or some site like that. I use Ulead Photoimpact, but that only has a 30 day trial...

That shouldn't be a problem if you assign one pair of keys for lean and strafe, and another for just leaning. I have 2 keys assigned for lean/strafe, 2 for lean, and 2 for strafe.
