5.1 surround and MOH

Just wondering...I recently bought a Creative Labs 5.1 surround sound system....and I've played MOH, and it sounds good...but is it 5.1 compatible? Because it seems like I should be getting more out...

i'm running a 9700 and i do get kind of crappy fps. i'm averaging about a 70 when i should be cracking 110.....my friends have had trouble too. its probably just psychological.
