i dont have the answer but i can tell you this much. i have the patch. 6 or 7 mods in the maina. i dont use the cd. and i run a server that way. when i want to explor a map i just start my server and use 1 player. the maps loads and im in. this doesnt answer your question but what it does say is that it can be done.im not tryin to be a smartass here. its just that if you know it can be done done at least you can keep looking for the problem knowing its possible..BUTCHER
