Newfies are a joke to the rest of Canada? Yeah, we get made fun of, but you know what? We can take it. We're the most resilient, the most resourceful, and the most tenacious group of people in the country. We're weather-beaten, hardened, and fiercely proud.

Can you name one thing that's uniquely Albertan? I mean, TOTALLY unique about Alberta? Didn't think so. Newfoundlanders are unique. There's no group of people like us in the world. I'm damn proud to be a Newfoundlander.

You can spew Newfie jokes (that we've heard 1000 times before) till your cows come home (for some lovin'), but you will never understand us. You will never understand.
