Depends. On server machines, yes. On home PC's, no. Most home PC's do not have automatic fan-speed adjustment, unless whomever has the PC downloaded a proggie for the motherboard called a fan speed regulator. You can also do this with a peice of hardware & turn knobs, but most PC's do not come with this easier.

There's nothing wrong with opening a PC case and running a fan on it, I've done it numerous times. Just don't pull any parts out! biggrin:
