Actually the infantry haversack is the model 1928. I do agree however that the musette and 36' suspenders are a much better system.

I'm also a re-enactor and even though I do have a complete Airborne impression I normally do straight leg. So I get to use the worthless 1928 haversack, that and my BAR
make for quite a load.
