I dont like DC much. If they took out the attack helis it would be a decent mod, but they alone make it one of the worst mods I've ever played.
eg Insalah valley. Allies spawn, and an Iraqi flies over in a Hind, firing rockets everywhere killing everyone. Its just helicopters spawncamping all the while, and I dont seem to remember the iraqis ever using an airforce.

On the maps where they dont spawncamp, they just hover around everywhere, with no one except stingers and other helis having a chance of killing them. And no one has a chance of surviving an attack from one of them. They just fire an endless stream of rockets, destroying everything in under a second. Tanks take out other tanks with 1 or 2 shots, infantry kill with about 5 shots.

There are a few good maps (DC Lost Village is the best), but the rest are worse than anything in BF42.
Wake island is probably the worst. the Allies have to spawn on ships, and the mapper thought it would be a good idea to stick an Iraqi Torpedo ship right next to it, aswell as putting a few Iraqi attack helis in aswell. They just attack the Allied ship within 10seconds of the round starting, killing all the Allies before they know whats going on.

But if normal bf42 is getting boring then its ok to play for a few weeks, aslong as you play on the good maps. Over half are just camping helicopters. Lost Village, Al Kafji Docks, Market Garden, Weapons Bunker, 73 Easting and Bocage are the only good maps to play

EoD is looking good so far aswell, thats only 21% complete so far though (last time I played it). I think there are many skins, custom maps etc that arent in mods, but I have seen a few.
The only offical stuff thats been released is Road to Rome, Secrets Weapons, Battle of Britain map, and Operation Aberdeen map.
