What is that? You just rambeled on about them being poor as the excuse for their high crime rates, and if you actually read and comprehended what i wrote before then you would have under stood why alot of minorities are in the position they are in right now, they dont want to work hard to pull themselves out. And if our society is so racist like you make it seem then why are there some sucessful minorities, not celelberties...but just normal people who live the normal middle class american life?? There is no racist conspiracy holding minorities down in this country at all you idiot, there are plenty of oprotunities available to everyone here, especially minorities now a days here in the states, the only problem is lack of motivation or will to work hard to better their situation. I will agree prior to the civil rights act of 1964 that minorities were not on an equal playing fields with whites and were being descrimated against severely, but you know what...its been 40 years, and so much things have changed, theirs now plenty of oprotunities for them to over come their current situation, all they have to do is work hard for it, like every other american who has something. In addition, there are no starving people in the united states...if you would take a look a the charts i provided on the types of crimes being comited, they weren't "survival crimes" like stealing so you can feed your family, they were violent crimes like rape, murder, and armed robbery. True in history the lower echelons of society who were denied basic services and had no other oprotunity but to steal to feed their families is one thing, but selling drugs, stealing, and murdering so you can have more "luxuries" like the new nike's or some platinum rims on their car, etc is a completly diferent story. Like I said earlier poverty isnt an excuse, no ones starving or struggling EVERYONE has acess to wellfare, food stamps, and medicare which provide food and medical service to all us citizens, public schools and afirmitive action programs provide the oprotunity for minorities to get an education and improve their status, all they have to do is take advantage of them and work hard in school, the ball has been in their court for a while, the oprotunities for them to suceed have been there...and some have taken advantage of it and are prospering here, while sadly the majority continue to sit around and commit crimes and collect hand outs because, hey...why work when uncle sam will feed you, and the extra cash you get from selling drugs will pay for your other needs?[/quote:f405e]
