I'm sure you know I was half kidding (denoted by the cool: of course). Yeah, I know none of us have that kind of ability. The distinction that needs to be made is once you go there, you move beyond editing and get into realistic art which is a completely separate ability anyway. If you can't draw that guitar with a pencil, you won't be able to do it in Photoshop. The actual "Photoshopping" in that pic is relatively small though. As far as artistic ability, that guitar is awesome, but it doesn't take full advantage of the software in certain aspects. The techniques in the vast majority of sigs aren't directly comparable with those in the guitar.
I think what I'm trying to say is that we all have different techniques and strengths that take advantage of different parts of Photoshop. A good comparison might be that there are many artists who use collage as their primary technique instead of creating from scratch. That's basically what we do. |
