If you notice, the "massacre" was carried out by the Northern Alliance, not American SFs.
As far as I'm concerned the NA had the right to retribution, considering that their friends and families were opressed and or killed by Taliban for about 20 years (since the Soviets buggered out and the Taliban became the "official" government)
