My liberalism is blown out of proportion by the conservatives around here, In life im a nice guy. Half my family lives in the states ffs. I talked to them at my last family reunion and they all accepted what I had to say and didn't find it at all anti-American or in the least disrespectful. (not including the reagen bit.) It just seems liberalism is taken as more of a threat around here. [/quote:fc09f]
I don't have a problem with your liberalism, my problem is the fact that you feel there is some sort of right-wing conspiracy here on aa.com. i now avoid posting in reaction to some of the far-out liberal flame bait around here for the simple reason of not having any energy to be reactionary when no one has any hope of changing the other peoples' minds, let alone have an intelligent conversation when both sides quickly revert to the obligatory "plz die" comment. I see the opposite of what you think is a flood of conservative thought around here. There are a few conservatives here and the ones that do post do not represent the whole of right-wingdom, mostly i see peoples opinions very similar to yours, which is fine. Maybe its your condescending tone you use when you post your liberal rants that pisses people off. Your Reagan post was not only poorly timed but did you think it would get a positive reaction? I would expect the same reaction had Clinton died and someone posted somthing inflammatory the week after his passing. Reagan wasn't perfect but a little respect is due the man. I agree with everyone who has posted that political conversations are stupid and pointless on this forum so this will be my last reference to either conservatism or liberalism etc etc
to get back on task, i think that aa.com has taught me more about life than my dog lassie could have ever done. thank you aa.com
