The Canadian Olympic Commitee is really fucking over the athletes with the new qualification standards. We're gonna end up sending over, what, five rowers and a judo dude now?

Yes that's an exaggeration, but the team is the smallest one since '72, I think. The rationale is that they don't want any athletes over there who have no chance of being in the top 12 in the world. Hellloooo...ever hear of the Olympic spirit and the the thrill of competition, fellas?

It's not a coincidence that the acronym for the Canadian Olympic Commitee is "COC".
