since when? It seems to depend on a couple things like if they are moving when you shoot them, and where they were hit. You can catch many players standing still and hit them with one shot in the upper torso and its fatal. Sometimes what appears to be a upper torso shot could just register as a hit in the upper arms.
One thing I think everyone who uses the KAR on a regular basis can agree on is, nothing beats a long distance head shot with it
