just cause you listen to music doesnt mean you know about it, know what a chord is? know what key is? know how to read music?

That's odd. I never played football, yet I recognize the effort and talent
that every NFL player possesses. Similarly, my experience with musical
instruments is extremely limited (some piano and guitar) and yet, I can
somehow (miraculously, it would seem) appreciate a musician's talent
and musical creations. One need not understand exactly how Newton
discovered the calculus to have great admiration for him and know how
talented he was.
