One time long ago we were drinking beer in a park in Windsor (Assunption Park?) and a cop rolls up and asks what we were doing. I said "having a beer" he didnt like that answer and informed us that it was illegal do drink in public in Canada. He also said he would give us a break and only ticket the driver. I WAS THE DRIVER!!! Well I pondered not paying it and just never going across the border but we made beer runs just about every week so I deciede to pony up the cash. I called OPP and asked it I could deduct the current exchange rate and send US funds. They said US money was accepted at par. I thought that was BS so I went to my bank and got a Canadian money order and saved the 22% or whatever it was back then paid the fine and continued my weekly beer runs for some Molson Badours (sp?)
