[quote:78818]Yep, they over emphasize 9/11. What about the economy? What about internal jobs? What about welfare, social security, healthcare? Oh wait, terrorists kill thousands of people. Shit then what happend to all those people that died in america from sickness and disease because of the lack of health care.[/quote:78818]
Are you kidding? He went over all that. Now whether or not you AGREE with is plan of attack or not is something else, but the platform was pretty clearly in no minced words laid out for the next four years. And yes 9/11 was mentioned because it has to be - it happened on his watch and the "resolution" of it is something he - and many others - are proud of. I know the DNC was trying to go positive in their convention and not mention Bush, but they made a huge mistake. and the RNC basically blew it out of the water. Even the DESIGN of Bush's podium blew away anything at the DNC.
[quote:78818]He plans on tax cuts, furthering his war in Iraq, yet somehow promissing programs impossible to pay for unless he imposes more taxes and stops the war in Iraq.... [/quote:78818]
You. Economics 101. Now.
Taxes have already been cut. Now comes labor reform and benefits for small businesses. . .yanno those guys who employ a good chunk of the American workforce. . .the ones who Kerry wants to tax the hell out of on top of making them pay workers comp, health insurance, and god knows what else.
The war in Iraq - is what - 300 billion? We're an 11 TRILLION dollar economy. You do the math. This isnt Canada. 900 billion economy will only get you so far. Maybe if WE were spending 1/3 of our economy on the war we'd be in trouble. We arent. And our children wont be "born into economic slavery".
