What Im getting at is, theres a certain sense of pride that you can only feel (to an extent) that youre country men did something.
For instance:Knowing that the Americans beat the British army during the revolutionary war.
Its a great feeling to know that over 229 years ago people who lived on the same soil as you fought and died for what they beleived. Its much harder to look at another countries achievements and feel the same pride knowing that they did something great.
Its harder to look at the Jews and feel pride knowing that they were surrounded by arab countries that wanted to destroy them and all they did was have a handful of settlers and a bunch of brave men with american made weapons.
Having an opinion on a country is something anyone can do. But when you live on this soil and love this country you see things from a differnt perspective.
