[quote="Old Reliable":7a261]um ok, lets see, maybe because i'm a student of INTERNATIONAL POLITICS> my studies with present day issues such as the current presidential race dont affect me at all. international relations.....domestic relations. besides, you're not an expert either, so stop trying to act like one.[/quote:7a261]

That what Im studying old - with an Asian emphasis - and nothing Ive seen suggests that within 16 years China will enter a radical stage of economic/social development that will quadruple gdp per capita and overtake the united states. 1 billion versus 300 million is the first problem theyre facing. You are going to need RADICAL economic reform and nothing suggests that those "elected officials" are going to give up the reigns of power anytime soon. With an an 85% literacy rate (you know the farmers are bringing that down) and a Birth to death ratio of 2-1 - China still has LEAPS and bounds to go before theyre economic prosperity is distrubeted across the ENTIRE continent.

And just because you dont let the "media" manipulate you into supporting a two party system, doesnt mean you dont support a two party system. Just because youre "aware" of the bullshit doesnt mean youre still being taken for a ride. It's the intellectual elitists that make me laugh, as if by virtue of their learnin they are somehow more politically advanced than everyone else.
