Ja - We call that the "Camp Syndrome" down here....Because its at its most obvious to you when you're on a school camp or something like that - and the hottest chick there, who in some cases you wouldnt even look at when not on camp, becomes the holder of your attention.
I believe its male human nature kicking in. It also backs my theory that, whatever the media paints as attractive (by sticking the image of it in your face a million times a day), the general male public will find that attractive.
For instance - if magazines etc started printing pictures of women with the flabs and hairy arm pits, after a while, all males would become used to the image, and would find those to be attractive elements on a female.
