What OS are you using?

If it's XP: Go into device manager and double-click on "Display Adapters", hopefully your Radeon will be listed there. Right-click on it, and select "Uninstall". Reboot your PC. When XP starts up again it'll attempt to install either a standard VGA driver, or it'll install the oldRadeon drivers that come with XP.

After it's done that have a go at installing the new drivers you downloaded.
