I haven't been listening to the speech, as I don't expect to hear anything new. There is one thing that really set wrong with me. As an address by the Elected President of our country, This man, and any man or woman in that position deserves respect, regardless of what they have done or what they say they plan to do. ( of course their are limits to this, such as treason....)
So what did a bunch of senators and representatives do? They booed Bush while he was speaking. That shows a lot of disrespect and stuborness, traits that members of our congress should not show. It reflects very badly on a country as a whole when members of our own law-making body disrespect our Commander in Chief on this scale.
Im not saying you should stand and clap for something you are against, Im not saying that at all. Not clapping is a lot different than childishly interfering with the speech itself.
Oh well, just my thoughts.
